Illustrator, Editorial Designer & Art Director
Founded in 1965, VER is Portugal’s longest-running publication dedicated to the
Optical sector. VER means ‘look’. In 2021, it evolved into a fully digital platform,
delivering quarterly issues focused on vision health, optics, and industry culture.
I led the editorial design from January 2021 to September 2022, rethinking its visual
language for the screen. The work extended beyond layout into custom calligraphy and
illustration, adding a distinctive and expressive layer to the publication.
Driven by a fast and intuitive workflow, each issue was designed in an intense
two-day sprint within a two-week cycle, leaving space for dialogue, refinement, and
precision. The result is a sharp, contemporary editorial system built for consistency,
rhythm, and clarity across every release.
